About The Love

Love'm & Leave'm Home Pet Sitting ("The Love") was founded by Tina McElvarr, a Certified Animal Health Technician (CAHT) in 2000. Tina has been providing in-home pet care since 1972. Prior to starting The Love, she worked as a Veterinary Technician for 28 years. She is fully able to administer all types of medications, injections and fluid therapy to your animal family members, as prescribed by your veterinarian, as are some of the other pet sitters who provide services for The Love.
Most people use vet boarding facilities to ensure medical safety while they travel, or simply because they are not aware of the alternatives. Tina has always strongly believed that a pet is much happier at home in a familiar environment. The Love pet sitters are able to bring a medical background that allows your pet to stay in your home and maintain their normal routine while you are away.
Whether it is travel or extended daily work hours that prevents you from being home, knowing that The Love will provide high quality pet care services can make the difference in your sense of comfort. Our pet sitters' background and experience will allow you to feel at ease when you are not at home, knowing your pets are in good hands!
Our Services
The Love provides pet sitting services through sub-contractors. All pet sitters contracted by The Love are fully covered by our general liability and bond insurance. Each sub-contractor is personally selected by Tina based on their professionalism, quality of work and love of pets (of course!).
ALL of our visits are 20 to 30 minutes in length. We offer a full range of pet sitting services, which includes:
- Daily Dog Walks
- Medication Administration
- Pet Taxi
- Vacation Pet Sitting, which includes:
* Exercise
* Feeding
* Provide Clean Water
* Cat Litter Cleaning
* Mail and Newspaper Pickup
* Water Indoor & Outdoor Plants
* And most importantly, Playing with the Pets!
Where Clients Become Family
The Love strives to provide the highest quality pet care possible and only contracts with those pet sitters that meet our stringent standards. Each sub-contractor is taken through an initial training period with The Love so they can become familiar with our standards for pet care services and we can assess their work product. This allows us to assure you the highest quality pet care services possible.
Since your pet is important to us, we tailor our services to meet each individual pet’s needs. Therefore, we do not set flat rates for services. Our average rate per visit ranges from $23 to $28, depending our your pet's needs. Please keep in mind that we do NOT charge individually for Each Additional Pet, Medication Administration, Holidays or Last Minute Changes, like many other pet sitting services.
